I purchased in Santa Rosa, CA two undated duplicate photos of a little girl taken by P. B. Houseknecht, Batavia, NY. One bears the following identification on the back of the mount:

"Geo. B Thompson [this name is crossed out]"

Below this crossed out name appears:

"Arline Seamans"

The other photo is identified on the back of the mount:

"Ida Thompson"

A possible candidate for the subject appears in Public Member Trees posted on Floy Arlene Seamans, born 8 Jan 1899 in NY, died 27 Jun 1987 in Genesee Co., NY, was the daughter of a farmer, Asa J. Seamans (1851-1931), and Delia C. (maiden name uncertain) (1852-). Floy is listed in the 1900 Census data for Lima, Livingston Co., NY; the 1910 Census data for Lima Township (resided on State road between Buffalo and Albany), Livingston Co., NY; the 1920 Census data for Pembroke Township, Genesee Co., NY; and the1930 Census data for Pembroke Township (resided on Read Road), Genesee Co., NY. Floy married Lewis Derby Read (1897-1966) and the couple had two children: Harriott Gertrude Read (1920-1998), and Lewis Paul Read (1928-1999).
