My great-great grandfather was Columbus Americus Sebastian b.Jan 11, 1850. He was William Whiteside Sebastian's brother (according to what I have found on the internet). My great grandfather was Charles Arthur Sebastian b. Jan 11, 1881 in Rockwall County, Tx. Granddad Sebastian lived to be 101 - his daughter Ima Stanley, my grandmother, lived to be 93 and died near Rockwall. I have an obit from Columbus' passing in 1941 in which reference is made of his family during the Civil War - having to abandon their home and living by a river for some time. I would be happy to send you a copy if you would like. What little I know about the Sebastian side of my family is thanks to my grandmother Ima - handwritten notes of names that are starting to make more sense to me. I have done a little more research but am frankly very new at this. It is very interesting! We have some very old family photos including, I believe, some of Columbus - I will verify this with my dad.
