"The Colonial Clergy of Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina" by Rev. Frederick Lewis Weis, Th.D. says that Benj. Sebastian was a minister at Frederick Parish, Frederick, Va. 1766-67; St. Stephen's Parish, Northumberland Co., Va. 1767-77; Christ Church Parish, Calvert Co., Md. 1782-85 and William & Mary Parish, St. Mary's Co., Md. 1785-1788. I don't know what you have for dates of military service, but I had read he served from 1775 (or 77) until 1783. Could you please tell me what dates your records show?
Also, the Jefferson County, Ky., records show that he qualified to be an attorney there in 12-1784 and that doesn't work out with his still being a minister in 1788. Can you help clear this up? Thanks.
