HI- My name is Linda Bastian Postema. I am looking for my paternal great grandfather Frederick Bastian born in Chicago, ill. who my grandfather said was part of the family which owned Bastian/Blessing. When my grandfather was born he was 21yrs. old which would have had him Fred born in 1882. We cannot find any record of this man. Possibly have you heard of him? My older aunt gave me a picture of a wedding party which on the back stated these people in this picture are Cora and Mary Bastian on their wedding day. No date or anything else but the man in the chair looks an awful lot like my grandfather. We are at a brickwall as far as this end of the family. My grandfather was born in 1903 and he had a brother who died in 1903 , I have a copy of their divorce/annullment decree which states they were married on April 20, 1901 and divorced on May 11, 1904. Can yu be of any help? If not thanks for taking time to read this. Linda Bastian Postema lpostemal@yahoo.com
