1. ALEXANDRE1 SEBILLE was born 1812 in France(Alsace area?), and died in Between 1870-1880. He married MARGARET(MARGARETH)(MARGARITE)BULLO 1840. She was born 1822 in France(Switzerland), and died February 18, 1892.

Notes for ALEXANDRE SEBILLE:
In 1880, Margareth lived on Buckeye Street. They came into New Orleans in 1848. They left from the La Havre port on the ship LONDON.They were on the Cincinnati, Ohio census in 1850, as SECILLE. Probably a dialect thing. The B became C on that census. Alexander's brother came on the same ship. Spelling in the Civil War records is two ways. SEBILLE and SEIBEL.

He married ANNA BAUMANN June 25, 1872 in Hamilton County, Ohio, daughter of JOHANNES(?) BAUMANN(BOWMAN) and ?. She was born January 12, 1849 in Switzerland, and died January 05, 1926 in Cincinnati,Ohio.

August was in the Civil War. He was in Cincinnati,Ohio.He was 28 when his first child was born.Family said he and Anna came from Alsace-Lorraine area. Bazon, Chenay, Deaux-Sevres, France. On February 28,1883, August F Seibel lived at 37 Moore Street, Cincinnati,Ohio.He enlisted in Union Army June 15, 1861, and was discharged August 20, 1864. He was in Company A, 67th Ohio Cavalry. He was apprenticed as a Blacksmith..He later became a tailor.August also lived at 613 Elm Street

According to 1920 census records, when Anna was 69 years old, she immigrated in 1854. The census index has it spelled Amaie Sebille. She would have been three years old at that time.
The name Anna TSCHACHTLY is on two of her children's Baptismal records.
Anna lived 38 years past August and never married again.

Gertrude Beckner Ashcraft Sebille had a daughter,Bernice by Edward Ashcraft. He was Bessie Ashcraft Sebille's brother. Gertrude married Bessie's ex-husband, Charles John Sebille. They had Marie, Dorothty, John, Jack, William and Harold Lloyd Sebille. Gertrude died September 1992. She was born in Helena,Ar., and was a resident of Geismer,La. Father John Koeler. Burial in church cemetery. She was a member of the St.Gabriel Alter Society. ---The Baton Rouge Advocate.
