Some information on connecting Asa Secord to Ambroise Sicard.
Asa was son of John b.circa 1760, d. 1813 & unk wife (family rumors say was Native American - to be PC), of Burford Twp, Ont, CAN.
Grandson of Daniel (1724-1818) and Elinor Warner?/Archer? of Somers, NY
G.Grandson of Daniel (1698-1817) and Catherine Mabie.
GG.Grandson of Daniel Sicard (1672 - 1740 ish) and Catherine Worstman.
GGG.Grandson of Ambroise Sicard (1631 - between 1701 & 1712).
Asa had 13 children by Janet/Jennette Brown - Asa Jr, John, William, Otis, Bradshaw David (my line), Sarah, Robert, Jennie, Betsy (Liz? Elizabeth?), Frank, Jane & Joseph (whose birth killed mother Janet). I believe Asa had about 10 more children by Sarah Darling.
Bradshaw David moved into upper Michigan after being chased out door by shotgun-wielding father Asa for sassing stepmother Sarah (Darling) ... per family stories. He made visits back but stayed and lived in Michigan, and married Jeanette Reed.
