There is a baptism record for William Secord (no middle name given) in the church registers for the First and Second Presbyterian Church of New York City. The date was April 16, 1775, and the parents were William and Ruth Secord. The younger William's date of birth was given as Feb. 18, 1775. On the same day in the same church, Ruth Secord was baptized at the age of 17. Her parents were not listed. I have seen these records (a typed transcription of the original) on LDS film 1002749. I have been working on William and Ruth Secord but still have much to find. It's my belief that William did not come from the family of James and Jeanne (Bonnet) Sicard, as so many sites indicate. I would be happy to discuss this further if you are interested.
