Recent testing of a descendant of Elias Secord along the straight male line indicates that Elias did share the same y chromosome as the other male descendants of Ambroise Sicard. (The descendant of Elias who tested matched the other Secord/Secor/Seacord men who descend from Ambroise.) William's connection to Ambroise is still in question. Further testing of William's descendants is needed in order to determine where the disconnect happened on the supposed line between Ambroise and my husband. Please contact me for more information.
