I am researching my Dad's Uncle Walt Secord and his wife Aunt Carrie Secord. My Grandmother was Laura Adella Secord Hawthorne, Walter C. Secord's sister. What I know is:
Walter C. Secord b. April 1, 1875, Marshalltown, Iowa; d. July 11, 1939, Omaha, NE. Parents: Robert Addison Secord and Lucy A. Olmstead. Walter married Caroline Toner on July 20, 1895 in Nebraska City, NE. They had 10 children: 3 female babies apparently died at birth. The other's were: Laura Secord b. 1898, Nebr. City and d. Abt 1899 Nebr. City.; Della E. Secord b. Dec. 1, 1900, Nebr. City, NE., d. Jan. 27, 1975, Nebraska City, m. Michael McCann Dec. 24, 1917, Topeka, KS.; Bonnie Secord b. 1905 Nebr. City, NE. Married a man named Dusenberry; Walter R. Secord, b. 1908 Nebr. City, NE, d. 1968 Omaha, NE. Marriage ???; Rolland J. Secord b. 1909 probably in Nebr. City, NE., d. ???, m. ???,; then last Helen L. Secord b. March 12, 1917, Nebr. City, NE, d. July 17, 1997, Omaha,NE., m. a man names Scott (last name). I have heard her name associated with the names Clark(e) and Gerber. Other than this I have no information on anyone. My parent's have both passed along with my Uncle's and Aunt's and my first cousin's are becoming scarce. Any help would be appreciated.
