Joining Ancestry.ca would help. Many of these people originated from Dutchess County, New York. I found a family tree that has a James Secord of the same year and wife. They list the parents as David Secord born 10 Aug 1759 in New Rochelle, Westchester, New York. He died 9 Aug 1844 in Saint Davids, Lincoln, Ontario. (This is the St. Catherines and Niagara Falls areas of Ontario). He married a Catherine Smith born 1765 and she died in 1812.
