Hi, Marilyn. I am not certain who would be the present authority on the Secord, Seacord, Sicard family at present. There is a great deal on-line; but sometimes I find the assumptions questionable. At one point, one of Albert's ancestors is given as Major David Secord; as if 'Major' was a forename. While it is true that 'Major' was so used, I think, in this case, it refered to his rank in the militia.
I would suggest looking at the Secord board of these forums and see who looks knowledgeable. I make Albert's line-of-descent, beginning with his grandfather, Solomon, to be:

Maj. David and Catherine (Smith) Secord

a site which seems to assume that David’s first name was ‘major’, rather than a reference to his rank in the militia. Not that his 2nd wife, Catherine Smith, was also a Secord, d/o Catherine Secord.

James and Madeline (Badeau) Secord
James was s/o:
Daniel and Catherine (Mabie, Mabee) Secord
The Mabee’s, Maybee’s, Mabie’s were also Loyalists to New Brunswick with some to Ontario.
Daniel was the s/o;
Daniel and Catherine (Woertman) Sicard
Woertman is likely New Netherlander Dutch, and is found in New Brunswick as Wartman.
Daniel was the s/o Ambroise Sicard, who came from France, probably about 1683.
Many Huguenot’s were from Rochelle, France, and when they went to Westchester Co., NY, they founded New Rochelle. The Sicard’s would appear to have been a part of this group.
but this needs confirmation. I think it would be useful and interesting for you if you just concentrated on that particular line, as the History of these folk is fascinating.
