I too am lost in the confusion of several generations of Siegrists named Frederick, Henry and Bartholomew. Does anyone know of someone who can do look-ups in this Secrest book that William Bulger mentions? Or better yet, is there a more modern, definitive resource that I could obtain? My line has 2 Secrest connections, as far as I've been able to discover (I am by no means certain of all of this information): my grandmother is the daughter of George Washington Salladay, son of Jacob and Mary Anne (Secrest) Salladay. Jacob Salladay is the son of Jacob W. and Anna (Secrest) Salladay. Anna Secrest is the daughter of George Secrest and Anna Frye. George is likely the son of Henry (or Heinrich) Siegrist and Anna Maria (or Mary) (surname unknown). Mary Anne Secrest is the daughter of Samuel and Leah (Larrick) Secrest. Samuel is the son of John Secrest and Sarah "Sally" Hammock (her surname can also be spelled several different ways). Samuel is likely the son of Frederick Siegrist and Catherine (surname unknown - some places I've seen Switzer, others give Hamslock). Frederick is likely the son of Henry (or Heinrich) Siegrist and Anna Maria (or Mary) (surname unknown). Notify Administrator about this message?
