Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
Our Valentine, born in 1735, had a son named Valentine, born in 1776 in MD, but I can't find any evidence that the younger Valentine ever married. He went to KY with older brother, William, and together they fought in the War of 1812 and then he went to Franklin Co. IN apparently (from info in a letter written to his nephew, Henry, in Feb. 1857) asking if Uncle Valentine was still alive.
In the 1850 Census for Connellsville (Fayette Co, PA) I found a Valentine Seacrest b. 1823 with wife, Catherine b. 1828 and children: Henry b. 1846; Mary b. 1848 and Stephen b. 1849. I have no idea where this family belongs in our family tree or if they are from our family tree.
There was a Jacob Secrest living in Fayette Co. who relocated to Columbiana Co. OH. Some believe he was either a brother or cousin of Valentine b. 1735, but I have not been able to confirm this.
