The parents of Betsy Stimson who married Joseph Sedgley were :

Jeremiah and Elizabeth (Townsend) Stimson. Jeremiah was a Revolutionary War Soldier. Betsy was one of eleven children. Elizabeth was originally from Biddeford, York Co., Maine.

The parents of Elizabeth (Townsend) Stimson were: Thomas and Meriam (Poak) Townsend/Townson. Thomas was a Revolutionary War soldier.

Elizabeth (Townsend) Stimson was born 10 February 1766 and died 15 June 1858 in Limerick, Maine. Elizabeth married Jeremiah Stimson on 21 May 1785.
