WILLIAM SEDGLEY-CIVIL WAR SOLDIER FROM MAINE

William Sedgley was born on October 21, 1838, in New Portland, the son of Timothy and Sarah (Burbank) Sedgley. He was married to Mary Jeanette Rand and lived in Kentland, Indiana. He enlisted from Chicago on May 31, 1862, in Company D, 67th Illinois Infantry, and was mustered out on September 27, 1862. He died on June 3, 1874.
