Searching for John B. Segers -born 1822 in Belguim. Married a woman by the name of Ann Vandervelde 1816-Holland. She had children: Caroline, Albert, Edward. They had John, Frederick, and Fredericka. They lived in Peoria, Illinois in the 1860-1870. Then in 1880 they lived in Chicago, Cook, Illinois.
The children took the name of their step-father by the 1880 census.
Caroline married a Joseph Schoff/Shoff-gardner from France. They lived in the Limestone Twp. on Lincoln St....they are also related to the machine shop of Shoff/McBride of Peoria, Illinois -which is still in business.
