Could your search for James Jeff Segers be James Jesse instead? I don't know where you got the Jeff but some old letters looked like others--ie. pp or ff could be ss. If this is possible, I have a James Jesse in my line that I have information on up until about 1906 when his fourth child is born. Then I show his wife's death in 1920. They could have been divorced so he might have been married again. I have not searched this particular line very much. But if this is possibly yours, will be glad to share.
