Quite a few Seidls in the Czech Republic (Bohemia). My oldest Seidl ancestor was Salomon, whose son Lorenz got married in Postupice in 1728. Found Seidls in Bystrice u Benesova, Lisno, Jankov, Ratmerice, and Jemniste. They seemed to be a dynasty of high patrimonial officials in charge of aristocratic residences or finances of the dominion. I am sure there are a lot of unrelated Seidl families in the area, though.
