Hello!
I am not related however I do have information and need answers if you or any of your older relatives can provide them. Sometime back in the 1915 to 1920 time frame a Teela Sigler (spelling is phonetic and very simple) came to teach school for the south georgia area of Milan/Mcrae or one of the other little towns. She arrived and was a guest at my ancestors home. His name was Henry Manning Powell married to Annie J Parker. Teela was hired by the school board which Manning sat on, to come and teach the areas children. The big BAD SECRET is that she left in the middle of the night one night by horse and buggy. Some of her people came and got her. The rumor is that Manning was after her to go to bed with him. He was a womanizer and in general not a nice person. I have that on good authority as well. Anyway I want to know if the child she had Henry Marion is actually a Fussel Fusell or if he was my ancestors. My cousin who is still living has told me this story and her mother witnessed this girl coming to teach and leaving in the middle of the night and of course all of Manning's antics. If you want to call me or email me at home my number is 832-878-8922/ dawnintexas@sbcglobal.net
Thanks,
DAWN
