Hello Rebecca,
I'm also tracing the Andrew May/Martha Seigler May family. They are ggg grandparents. I'm curious also if John Robert Seigler (spelled Sigler) in Franklin Co GA 1860, would be Martha's younger brother since they are next door to each other. I would guess that the father John Seigler Sr. must have been married prior to his marriage to Permelia.

Don't know if it's the same John Seigler, but just spelled differently.
In looking at census records for South Carolina, it sure looks like most of the Seiglers/Sieglers lived in Edgefield SC. But it looks like this John was in Anderson or Abbeville?
If he was born in 1788 then the marriage record above is a possibility.
