I, too, seek the same information you seek. Been looking about 15 years now. My husband's ggf, James Patrick SEIGLER m. Molly E.(Elinor?) WARD. Molly E. is name given on marriage certificate. We suspect relationship between the two marriages, but do not know what it is. "Our" marriage took place in MS, but James Patrick f. was from Lexington District, S.C., gs of Adam.
We have learned that the SEIGLER, MOSS, and JORDAN (JOURDAN) families travelled together which gives rise to the possibility they were related in some manner. Were the WARDs also part of this group? What about the FREEs?
