Here is some information on James Patrick Seigler that I got in a packet on the Seiglers from my grandmother, Lanora Seigler:

"George Washington Seigler was born in Oktibbeh County Mississippi, on October 30, 1868. He came with his parents to Collin County Texas in 1870. They made a home on Indian Creek, seven miles north of Farmersville. His parents were James Patrick and Mollie Ward Seigler. They were both reared in Mississippi. James Patrick Seigler's father came from South Carolina to Mississippi before the Civil War. In 1868, he joined the westward wave of migration which was then moving across the Mississippi River, planning to establish for himself and his family a new home in the west. He set out with his family for Texas in an Ox-wagon. But he never reached his destination. He took sick and died with cholera at Vicksburg, Miss. His family buried him and continued the journey on to Collin County, Tex. Young James Patrick Seigler followed two years later, 1870, in an ox-wagon with his wife and baby son, George W. The young wife and mother died the next year at childbirth at her home a few miles North of Farmersville, Texas. She was buried in Bethlehem Cemetary north of Farmersville, Tex. She was a member of the Methodist Church. George W. was then three years old. He was the only child, surviving infancy, of his Fathers first wife. Jame Patrick Seigler was married to Miss Mary Tennesee Moore of Farmersville, Tex. To this Union were born five children who survived infancy. They are -- Alfred Seigler, Farmersville, Tex. -- Oliver G. Seigler, Crosbyton, Tex. -- Mrs. George B. (Lillie) Parkhill, Crosbyton, Tex. -- James A. (Jim) Seigler, Farmersville, Tex. -- and Mrs. Mary Shinn, Farmersville, Texas.

Hope this helps!!
