Looking for a Seigler Family picture
Posted by: Sara Date: September 25, 2001 at 14:48:56

I am looking for a picture taken in Texas of the Seigler family. This picture would have been taken sometime between 1900 and 1919. Included in this picture is a woman by the name of Mary Myrtle Webb Seigler. She was the first wife of William Walker Seigler.

This woman is my grandmother's mother. She died when my grandmother was only five. When my grandmother was a young girl, her house was destroyed by fire so she lost all the pictures she had of her mother. Someone gave her a copy of this picture of the Seigler family and it was the only picture she has had since of her mother. Now it has turned up missing.

Please check your photo albums to see if you might have a copy of this picture. I imagine, but am not positive, that this picture was taken in either Clay County or Collin County, the two places that this family lived.

I will be more than happy to pay for copying costs and shipping. I can also reciprocate with copies of pictures of William Walker Seigler and his second wife Serepta Josephine "Josie" Smith and various pictures of their family. I also have a copy of the Smith family.

Thank you very much. My grandmother is 87 and I would like to give her this for Christmas.

Sara Mattice
