Calvin J. Siple, 60, and wife Altha, 63, were in Bisbee, Towner County ND on the 1920 census with son George M, 34, and daughter Eva G., age 21. The census info says that Altha was born in Canada, her father was born in Canada and her mother in Scotland.

The mother of George and Eva was born in Pennsylvania, so Altha was evidently Calvin's second wife and not their mother.

Calvin Siple and his wife, whose name looks like Idie, are on the 1880 census in Jefferson County, PA next to his parents and uncle. They had no children at that time.

Calvin was the son of Jacob Siple, Jr, born about 1833 in Lancaster Co, PA, and his wife Amelia. Jaoob Jr served in the 14th PA Cavalry in the Civil War, lived in Jefferson County, and was a farmer and coal miner.
