Jonathan Sellars CW Pension File Info.
I have a copy of this Jonathan Sellars' Civil War Pension File and wanted to share the information with the SELLARS Genforum list.Maybe someone out there will know something about this Jonathan and to which family he belongs to.[I was hoping this Jonathan would turn out to be my GG Grandfather's brother, but he apparently is not].
1.The Pension File says he was born December 1, 1831, in Butler Co., Ohio.
2.He served as a private in the 20th Battery Regiment of Indiana Artillery from August 20, 1862 until June 28, 1865, when he was discharged at Indianapolis, Indiana.
3.His places of residence after leaving the service were:From Indiana to Polk Co. Iowa in 1869; from Iowa to Kansas in 1870; Thayer Co. Nebraska; Benton County, Arkansas in 1892; and to Republic Co. Kansas in 1897.
4.The file says he had never been married and had no children.
5.He died in 1912 in Narka, Kansas.
Any relatives out there?
Hope this is helpful to someone.
Regards,
Lynn (Sellers) Mack
