These Sellers are related to mine. The Sellers and Hinkson families go back to Cumberland Co., PA before the Revolutionary War. Capt. John Hinkson and Lt. John Sellers (son of Samuel) went west first to the Westmoreland Co. area and then to Kentucky. John Sellers' two brothers, Samuel Jr. and Isaac came to Kentucky after the Revolution. Other Sellers, children of Nathaniel Sellers, a brother of Samuel Sr. of Cumberland also came to Kentucky in 1780. These cousins of John, Isaac and Samuel Jr. were John, Nathan, Joseph, and others. I hope this helps. Some of these settled in the Harrison/Bourbon area.

Jim Sellars
