Marcella Antoinette (Selva) Beeman

Marcelle Antoinette Beeman passed away on July 18, 2012 at her, with her family by her side. Marcelle was born Jan 31, 1927 to Frederico and Isabelle Selva in Oran, Algeria, Africa. During WWII she was a volunteer secretary on base and that was where she met the love of her life Donald Beeman. They were married on Feb. 6, 1947. She was very proud of her American citizenship, living her life enjoying every freedom that the USA had to offer. She lived in Spokane and in 1965 she became an LPN, working to save and help people. She lived in the same house for over 50 years and worked at Deaconess Medical center for 25 of those years. She found her true passion in the labor and delivery sections of the Hospital and added another 10 years to her nursing career at the Valley Hospital in Spokane Valley, Wa. Marcelle was easily remembered by her french accent and her ability to speak multiple languages. She made the most amazing cakes, the most enjoyed of which was her Rum Cakes she made during the holidays. Marcelle loved to read and enjoyed everything from the weekly tabloids to Sci-fi as well as Sci-fi movies. Marcell was preceded in death by her husband Donald (1954) her parents, sisters Lucienne, Jeanette and Carmen. She is survived by her children, charles (Karen) Beeman; Donna (Doug) Robinson,; her grandchildren, Tristan, Danielle and Antoinette Beeman and Kendra and Derrick Robinson. 11 great grand children, nieces in France include, Alain and Danielle Giudicelli,Virginie and Thierry Avellino and Emilie Giudicelli. A special survivor to Marcelle is her faithful pitbull of 14 years, Aujeanea. Interment will be at Pines Cemetery where her urn will be united with her husband's. A family only service will be held. Thank you to all that knew her, please remember her in your own way this was her wishes.
