Per Pension and Bounty Land records Michael/Miles Flynn enlisted in Company H, Third Infantry in 1841 in New York. In September of 1842 in Maridon County, Florida he was discharged "on account of being taken out of the army on a writ of Habeas Corpus without his consent or previous knowledge." Does anyone know what could cause such an action? To the best of my knowledge, Michael/Miles Flynn arrived in New York in 1839 before enlisting in the Army in 1841. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Elizabeth Bailey eebailey@pldi.net Notify Administrator about this message?
