Looking especially for any info re: Martin McCann who served from GA in the Seminole War of 1818. Was still showing occupation as soldier when found on the 1830 Jackson County, GA census. Pension record shows he was granted land bounty for service. May have had a brother Joshua that also served and later settled in Florida .. possibly Tallahassee. Info on any McCann's gratefully appreciated. McCann variously spelled McCan, Mc Cann, McKan, McCanne, Macann, Mackan and on and on ad infinitem apparently.
