I would like information on a person who was in the
Georgia Volunteers under command 0f CAPT. BENJAMIN F.
PATTON.GA.VOLUNTEERS.HE WAS DISCHARGED AT NEWTOWN,
CASS CO. GA.

The name is:LAWYER SUGGS ENLISTED 1827...DISCHARGED 1828.
I have papers from WAR DEPT. on him, however, would like
more information as to where he went, when he left service.

The papers also say he was back in service in 1836,and
had AARON KING as COMMANDER IN NEWTOWN,GA.and discharged
JULY 3,1836.
HOWEVER,BOTH TIMES HE WAS IN,THE PAPERS STATE THAT HE WAS
DISCHARGED BECAUSE HE DEVELOPED A BAD CASE OF MEASLES.
HOW COULD THIS BE????WHICH DATES ARE CORRECT??
