THe first Seminole War in 1818 pretty much ended with the executions of Armbrister and Arbuthnot at a trial influenced by Andrew Jackson. The former British marine, Armbrister was accompanied by an aide named Peter B. Cook. Can anyone tell me anything about him? I know he was b. in NY and had probably been to the Bahamas since Armbrister was a nephew of the Gov. of New Providendce (Bahamas). Thanks, Jane.
