In the Manteno Township History 1800s to 1900s, I found:

SENESAC, ALEXANDER AND ADELINE (DUPUIS) F196

Alexander Senesac (1840-1923) and his wife, Adeline Dupuis (1845-1912), were both born in Canada, coming to the Kankakee area as children.

In 1860, he purchased 40 acres of land in Kankakee which he sold and later purchased 80 acres on the site where Manteno Diversitech is located.

At his peak, he had accumulated 1,400 acres of land which he distributed among his children. Although each son was given 200 acres, he remained head of the extended family.

In the llinois Statewide Marriage Index, 1763-1900, I found

Groom: SANISAC, ALEXANDER
Bride: DUPIRES, ADELINE
Date: 07/12/1863
Vol./Page: 00B/
License No.: 00000934
County: KANKAKEE
