Wow, I learn something new all the time.

A couple of items you might try:

1. translate the first names from English to Polish and see what happens
2. if there were Polish Jews in your lineage try changing the last name to Singer (often a Jewish variation on the name)
3. lastly you might try the following paths:
--- if they were Polish try Catholic church records
--- if Jewish most records are likely destroyed by the Germans/Poles during WW2, but you can try
--- if they were German most likely all records were destroyed by the Russians in WW2 although you can try both Evangelisch (Lutheran) and Catholic Church records
--- I have lately been in contact with the Polish government to try and gain access to birth, death, & property records etc. I have no idea how well that will work but it seems like a good prospect.

Good luck! Let us know what you find. Happy New Year!!!!
