Just stumbled on this forum by accident via Google. We have a common ancestry via Alfred Sevigny(Norbert Sevigny, Clara Joannisse), married in 1890 also in Ottawa (Notre-Dame basilica)to Aima Lavoie, daughter of Abraham Lavoie and Onesime Couvrette from parish of St Martin, Laval, Montreal, Quebec. I also have a Napoleon Sevigny(Norbert, Clara Joanisse) married to Parmelia Gagnon in 1889 Ottawa (Notre-Dame basilica). Seems that the Couvrette family moved to Ottawa from Montreal at about same time that Abraham Lavoie did around 1875.
