Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

I live right here in Ottawa or more specifically, Orleans, just outside of Ottawa. The national archives are close by but I don't want to go there yet, still working for NRC Canada, probably retiring by next March, where I will have all the time in the world to work on genealogy full time. I'm working entirely off the web since I discovered what a gold mine it is last October. Working on my own lines Lavoie, Whissell, Pilon, and Champagne. Let's keep in touch from time to time in case any of us has more information. What I sent you is all I have for now.
