Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Cousin Daniel,
All Sevignys that I know of in North America are descended from Julien-Charles de Sévigné who arrived in Quebec around 1688. He came from Rennes in Brittany, France.
He married Marguerite Rognon dit LaRoche 18 Apr 1695 at Pte-Aux-Trembles(now Neuville), Portneuf Cty., Québec, Canada. I am descended from him 3 times.
Try to trace your Sevigny tree back as far as you can and let me know and I probably give you the rest back to Julien Charles.
Regards,
Mike Sevigny
