Amateur Sevigny (b1880), son of George (b1845)
Posted by: Thomas Baxter (ID *****0755) Date: October 25, 2008 at 06:57:31

Amateur Sevigny was born in St. Barthelemy, Quebec in 1880. He emigrated to New England in 1895, and married Corinne E. Ducharme.

His father was Georges, or George Olivier Sevigny, b. 1845.

Once we get past these two, the record is well researched, but the Canadian records for my grandfather Amateur and his father are scant. The American records for Amateur, in Worchester and Springfield, Mass., are fine, but he seems to have had no brothers or sisters, which would be a rarity. The same goes for his father.

This lineage is supposed to link into the big Sevigny/de Sevigne line, but the facts proving it are scarce.

"Thomas Baxter" should be an open pedigree on

Can anyone help?

Tom Baxter
