What are your sources for the birthdate of Gilles Sevigny (b. 1643) and the marriage date of 1663 to Gilette DeFoy? Are the parents listed on the marriage record? The reason I ask is that one of my correspondents/relative got a copy of a baptisimal record for a Gilles Sevigne b. 12 Aug 1636/bp. 24 Aug 1636 St-Etienne-de-Rennes to Renaud de Sevigne, lord of Monmoron and his second wife Gabrielle Dubellay. These Sevignes were nobility and can be traced back to Charlemagne. Thanks.
