Dear Julien
Lafleur is the "dit" name of the Sevigny family descended from Julien Charles Sevigny.
My family has always used the surname "Lafleur", but we also knew that the "real" name was Sevigny. Apparently it was a common practice for US immigrations to clip the French-Canadian names to something more managable, so Sevigny dit Lafleur became "Lafleur".
Email me if you want more info.
