Hello, my name is Gerald Seys and as we know we have a lot of surnames our name SEYS was written as the good will of the writter and some spellings of our name changes and the name SEYS is one of the older bur our name was written as sesk,seyes,seck,saye,sick ect,on the " A Genealogical History of the Milesian Families of Ireland" researched c. 1880 is of Danish origine and that they arrived in Ireland in the year 980.
and after 200 years emigrated to Wales and served under the King Edward 1 year 1295 in the Judiciary Rolls of the 1295-1314 whose scribes uniformly record the surmane of SEYS in 5 occurences including that John SEYS whose House was burgled in 1311.
this is a little of information that I can give you ,I have so much more.
my Father's name was Fernand Eugene SEYS ,and here in the US the earlyest record of the name SEYS was 1 the 1706 when a young man named hanz joahan SEYS 17 years old jumped the boat was comming from the Netherland, hope we can talk again soon and I have 3 coats of Arms but I adopted the oldest it is very biautifull and the SEYS motto is mentionned in this coat of arm thank you for your interest .
