Thanks for the information. I have my SEYS line back to Jacobus SEYS 1645 in Flushing, Zeeland. I was told by a German man that the name sounds German; and by a genealogist that probably the SEYS went to the Netherlands during one of the crusades,through Prussia, and stayed there.
My line came to the USA from the virgin Islands in the mid 1800s.
I am aware there was SEYS in the US before my John SEYS, and believe there is a connection. Have not been able to prove it, yet.
My brother made a blazon of SEYS that our grandfather had researched, but I'm not sure if it's the right one for our line.
