I am looking for Shackeltons or Schackeltons from Ireland .
They were in the 1850 census of New York City 6th Ward I think somewhere around Old St Patrick's Cathedral Mulberry St. There was a Margaret 40, John 19, Catherine 21, Eliza 16, and Christopher 12,Mary 18 was already married to Peter Mc Manus and was 1 family below them in the census. They had a daughter Margaret 8/12 months old.

I found Margaret, Mary and Catherine in the international passenger records as coming to America on the Ship Yorkshire that sailed out of Liverpool and arived in NY 2 April 1844.Country of Origin was Ireland. Cannot find when others came.I found a John Schackelton an wife with 9 children in 1880 Brooklyn ,NY census. Then I loose the family. Anyone know of this family and have any informaton?
Thanks for any help.
