Delighted to know you have the original M.C. and just to authenticate it - Matilda Balls residence at the time of the wedding was Buckland Street. I have a photo copy!
She was born in Bethnal Green born of a railway worker and is buried in Walthamstow Cemetery. My childhood memory is that she was a large woman whom I never saw standing!
Adolphus was (to my childs eyes) was a small man, born of a barber in 1858 and became one himself. He died in 1946 aged 87 and left me his watch and chain!

Since you have ithe MC 'by accident' have you anything else relating to the name Shackleton- resident in Nth London in particular?
