Samuel/William F. Shake, Sangamon/Christian Co. IL 1800's

This is all I know about William Francis Shake. He was born in the 1820's probably in Clark Co., Indiana. He married Mary Frances Elliott October 17, 1867, in Christian Co., IL. He and his family moved to Chicago in the late 1880's where he died July 7, 1891. He was the son of Samuel Shake and Elizabeth Vigal. Among his siblings were brothers George and John W. (John Wesley?) Shake. The family ended up in Sangamon and Christian Co., Illinois. I'm not even sure if William is my ancestor, so there's no point in going any further back yet, I'm just interested in his family and descendants. I'm hoping that some of the descendants of George or John W. might have some information (family Bibles, old letters, info collected from other family members, etc.)

What I'm looking for specifically is:
1. An exact date of birth for William
2. Place of burial (his death certificate says "Cotton Hill, Illinois", but I don't know if this is the name of a cemetery as well as the name of the town)
3. An exact date of birth for William's son Samuel (nine years old in the 1880 Taylorville, Christian Co., IL census)
4. What happened to the son Samuel? He is still alive in 1926 as he is listed in his mother's obituary, but I can't find him anywhere in the 1900-1920 censuses.

Any clue, no matter how trivial, would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Vicki
