Faye,

Michal Shalit in California says that any and all of these names are related invariably and that the name is 5000 years old dating back to the Pharoah's.

Please check my earlier message on spelling of Shalett (sp).

There are SO MANY combinations and permutations of the name.

S, SZ, Z, SCH and SH to begin the name
A, E, I, O
L and LL
A, E, I, O
T and TT
E and no E at the end of the spelling

All of this adds to more than 2000 possibilities. Now, you have added CH to begin the name also.

For REAL HELP, go to JewishGen.org and use their fabulous tools to research the spellings and possible data in their researchers files, if you have not tried that already.

Feel free to post us with whatever you discover.
