Michael and others: I forgot the "attached link of interest" It is:

and is a site which has Shalit genealogic data on it and has pictures and other items of interest.

For the benefit of other Shalett's (var) who may not be on the Shalett Genealogical Project mailing list, I am copying my recent email letter to Michael Schalit about changes in spelling of the Shalett (var) name.
