Hi,
You are probably not ready for this but most of the Shallenbergers in FayetteCo PA were descended from John son of Ulrich S. of Hempfield Twp, Lancaster Co PA. Before 1750 there were 3 Shallenberger families in Hempfield and Manor Twps in western LancasterCo PA. Books have been written about each and their descendants.
Ulrich and Hans George came to PA in 1727 and Peter came in 1732.Descendants of Peter's son Jacob were also in FayetteCo PA. There is disagreement about how they were related and where they came from. I believe they were all sons of Hans Schallenberg of Ste Marie-aux-Mines, Upper Alsace France, who was probably a Mennonite refugee from the Emmenthal east of Bern SWITZ. Hans appears in the 1703 and 1708 lists of inhabitants. It is said that Ulrich was born in 1690 and he shows up there in 1708, but Hans Georg was probably younger and Peter was born in 1699.Others claim they lived in the Krachgau of Baden GERM, but all versions claim they were Swiss. We have them as unconnected Shallenbergers on our website

In his book Richard W. Davis has them living in the Kraichgau but hooked into the Emmenthal Schallenberger family tree.
I hope this helps. There is a website with some of the Shallenberger books.
