Hi Andrew. I don't know if there is a connection or not. What I have is a John Boyle b. 1780 Ireland who married Ellen McFadden, they moved to St. Giles, Quebec Canada and they named one of their sons Edward b. 1827 and another named James b. 1804 ( this might be a typo, and should be maybe 1824) both also born in Ireland. James married Mary Shallow in 1842 and had 13 children named: John, James, Mary Ann, Dennis, Grace, Felix, Margaret, Bridget, Daniel, EDWARD,Louis, Rose and Catherine. Edward from above who was b. 1827 married Catherine Shallow ( Mary's sister)in 1851 and they had 12 children as follows: Phillip, John, Rose, Ed, Bridget, Margaret, Mary, Catherine, Elizabeth, James, Daniel and Dennis. Some of these migrated to MN. Hope it works! Nelda
