Thanks for the responses. An old source has Jane Grinter married to an unknown Sharon, but there are none in Butler Co KY. As the same source misspelled the name of one of Jane's sister's husbands, I thought that that Sharer would be a logical leap. Right now I'm focused on Augustus Sharer, b 7 Dec 1806. Most give his wife as Mary Jane Puckett with a marriage date around 1837. This would give time for an earlier wife.
