Paul Sharpenstine
I am researching the Jacob Gearhart family that came to NJ in 1753 with 3 sons and 4 daus. all grown, and settled in Hunterdon co.
One of the daus. was an Elsa who is called "Elsa Anderson" in her father's 1773 will. But there is a 1756 will (Hunterdon co., NJ) of a Paul Sharpenstine who names his wife as "Elsa". Evidently married in Germany.
Could Jacob's dau Elsa have m. Paul in Germany, emig w/him to NJ, and after his death m(2) Anderson?
Does anyone have much info on this Paul Sharpenstine?
Will appreciate any comments.
